Haven in Paris Interview

This is a nice change – a vacation rental agency has interviewed me, instead of me interviewing them! Sarah from the US-based agency Haven in Paris wanted to know what I think about European vacation rentals.

Haven In Paris Blog Interview – Slow Travels Through Europe

At the end of May Steve and I spent a week in the Haven in Paris Ecoles apartment (read my review on Slow Europe). The apartment was centrally located in the Latin Quarter (the 5th arrondissement), near all the action but peaceful and quiet up on the sixth floor. In minutes we could walk down to the River Seine or up to the Luxembourg Gardens. The apartment is in an historic 17th century building with the beautiful original wood floors and thick wooden beams. The views over the Cluny Roman ruins and the top of Notre Dame towards Sacre Coeur were stunning.

And we were right next door to the Cluny Museum (Musee de Cluny).

  1. Really lovely interview I thought Pauline, and the agency sounds as if it has exactly the right attitudes in terms of the level of care you received.

The provision of floor-plans of properties to review on a website certainly minimises experiences such as the slight disappointment you felt when you saw how the bed was positioned. I see this is offered on the majority of their listings and their aim is probably 100%.

  2. Great interview. I have stayed with them too and in fact in this apartment and it was heaven on earth. I’d say it was an experience one would never have unless you stayed here because the view is incredible, overlooking the Museum of the Middle ages and all the way up to Montmartre. There’s a little balcony with a table and chairs where you can see the sun rise and set. Couple that with the technology Haven in Paris provides and you’ve got the perfect apartment that’s in the heart of the city.

  3. I love the Haven in Paris apartments. I’ve stayed in the Houdon apartment twice now and have come to think of the Abbesses area as my home away from home. The apartment is terrific…even better than my own apartment in Miami. I’m not kidding. Every time I leave I wish I could take her shower home with me. And the terrace. And maybe a few treats from the boulagerie up the street. But I also love the great staff, who make sure that everything is okay in the apartment and with my stay there.
